U01 Grantees

The TRN expects to support the activities of four separately funded U01 awards focused on the comparison of existing methods of telomere measurement and the development of novel measurements applicable to population research.

Strategies for developing best practices and protocols

Systematic testing of scientific and methodologic gaps will be accomplished through U01 projects, secondary data analyses, and supplemental pilot projects supported by the TRN. The TRN will collaborate with existing cohorts and leverage existing published and unpublished data sets as available.

The TRN may also support the collection of additional samples and pilot projects to supplement the activities of the U01s.
